About Us

Connect Culture NYC gives New York City youth the power to connect with youth throughout the five boroughs to collectively create tolerance. Our organization provides an avenue for collective action against these senseless hate crimes by providing an outlet for meaningful discussion and collective action.

Brooklyn

  • Brooklyn has the largest Jewish community outside of Israel. Source

Manhattan

  • Manhattan is the home to some of the most iconic ethnic communities in the world like Harlem which is the epicenter of black culture with it being the home of the Harlem Renaissance, Little Italy, and Chinatown. Source

Queens

  • Queens is home to one of the largest API communities in NYC-- its population consists of 71% of Bangladeshi immigrants, 64% of Korean immigrants, 64% of Asian Indian immigrants, 64% of Filipino immigrants, 43% of Chinese immigrants. Source

 

Staten Island

  • Staten Island is home to one of the largest Italian communities in NYC with around 35% of the population of Staten Island being Italian. Source

Bronx

  • The Bronx is home to one of the largest Latinx populations in NYC with deep roots to the culture embedded throughout the community. Source
